As a mother of a toddler, I am constantly making sure that I keep something healthy for my little one to snack on between meals. However, busy moms are not afforded the opportunity to make sure that happens when your child is at daycare or granny's house. Or, what about those long road trips with a toddler in tow. Needless to say you won't find many healthy choices for your tot at the rest stops. Here are some ideas to add to your weekly grocery list for the little one:
1. Cheese
2. Whole grain cereal
4. Sweet potato chips
5. Low-fat ham
6. Cinnamon toast-Spread butter on toast and sprinkle cinnamon sugar...lightly toast/broil for a
yummy sweet treat
7. Whole fruits- are easy to pack on any road trip
8. Trail Mix
9. Ice pops- Using Kool-aid and Popsicle Sticks
10. Frozen grapes- Soothing for teething little ones!
